*Mary and *Jason were separated and living apart. *Mary and her four children moved to Utah to be with their family, and once*Mary came to Utah, *Jason shortly followed. They rekindled their relationship, but Mary’s family did not support this decision. Her family made *Mary and the children leave their housing. *Mary and *Jason had run out of options and had nowhere left to go. They began living in hotels. The hotels ate their money, every day. Not only were *Mary and *Jason paying for hotels, but they had to pay for food, diapers, wipes, and other necessities for them and their four children. Fortunately, *Jason had a job that kept their family afloat, just long enough until Family Promise of Ogden had an opening. Once *Mary and *Jason’s family joined the Shelter Program, instantly they were fantastic clients. *Mary and *Jason worked hard every single day to apply for local resources. They accomplished their goals every week. While in the program, *Mary was able to get her driver’s license, and *Jason was able to get a raise. They aimed to improve their personal lives while chipping in with chores around the day center. They were always willing to lend a helping hand. Eventually, *Mary and *Jason saved enough money to get into a brand-new apartment. The two were approved for a housing program, and with this program, Mary will be able to get her diploma and further her education. With the new foundation of security they created, and help from Family Promise of Ogden, Mary and Jason regained stability and became independent once more.
